All members are invited to attend Brimacombe’s Annual General Meeting, taking place on Sunday, November 12 at 2:30 p.m. in Brimacombe’s East Chalet (parking via Gate 4).

About Oshawa Ski Club/Brimacombe

Oshawa Ski Club, operating as Brimacombe, was established in 1936/37 as a not-for-profit organization providing winter recreation to the residents of Durham Region and beyond. The ski area currently features 22 runs, 8 lifts, 2 terrain parks and 2 chalets, spread over more than 68 skiable acres with over 3,300 members/passholders.

About the Board of Directors

The Board of Directors at Brimacombe provides the leadership and governance to oversee the organization on behalf of its community stakeholders. A qualified Management Team, led by the General Manager, is in place to direct all operational aspects of the resort. Board members are expected to actively participate in monthly meetings of the full board and as well as advocate matters as dictated by the needs of the organization.


Interested in becoming more involved at Brimacombe?

Brimacombe is seeking individuals to join its Board of Directors. Members who feel they have the appropriate skills to actively contribure to Brimacombe’s ongoing success are invited to apply. Directors must be able to exercise sound business judgement as act as a prudent fiduciary in a complex organization responsible for significant human and financial resources.

Potential directors will likely have previous board experience and/or experience demonstrating business skills include finance, marketing or human resources. Team players who are able to deal constructively with differences of opinion while respecting the consensus of the group will enjoy sharing the current Board’s passion for Brimacombe and its role in the community. The Brimacombe Board aims to represent the diversity of its members and the community, and will strive to recruit directors with specific skills that will assist the Board in its decision-making processes.

Directors serve for a three (3) year term. The executive is chosen from the current Board.

Official nomincations must be made from the floor at the AGM. Mover and Nominee must be voting members in good standing. The Nominee must acknowledge willingness to accept the Nomination and be prepared to speak briefly on their qualifications.
