Our teams and competitors have always enjoyed incredible success, from Doug Woodcock who joined the National Ski Team (1968-1972) and went on to become Canada's top pro ski racer (1972-1976), to our well noted ski jumpers including three-time Olympic Ski Jumper Ron Richards (1984, 1988, 1992).
This year, join us in celebrating, supporting and cheering on Brimacombe’s Best, as they compete at provincial, national and international levels!
Over the season, look for bios, race results and news links, as well as opportunities to send support and encouragement to your favourite homegrown athlete.
While we wait for the season to begin, here is a taste of what’s in store:
Matt Morison has been on the World Cup Circuit and has met the criteria set by the CSF, qualifying for the 2010 Olympics this winter in Vancouver. Matt’s event, the Men’s Parallel Giant Slalom will be held at Cypress Mountain on Saturday, February 27. Join us at Brimacombe as we cheer him on with a party of Olympic proportions!
Former OSC racer and coach Steve Barlow has been racing on the NORAM and Eurocup circuit and has been named to the National Development Team and is the first alternate for the National Team. He will be running in some World Cup events this season.
Richard Evanoff will be living and training in Calgary this winter, coached by Mark Ballard who also coached Steve and Matt. Richard will be racing full time on the NORAM circuit this year.
