BRIMACOMBE DONATES A PORTION OF PROCEEDS IN HONOUR OF LOCAL ATHLETE, MATT MORISON

ORONO, April 14, 2010 – In recognition of the achievements of local World Cup and Olympic snowboarder Matt Morison, Brimacombe is making a $2,555 contribution in continued support of amateur winter athletes. The donation will be equally divided between the Making Winter Winners fundraising program and the Canadian Association for Disabled Skiing (CADS) in Durham.

Morison, who learned to ski and snowboard at Brimacombe, just completed his fourth season on the World Cup snowboard circuit and made his Olympic debut this past February in Vancouver. Brimacombe held a community party to celebrate Morison’s Olympic debut and is contributing $5 from each lift ticket sold at Brimacombe on the day of his event.
